Exclamation 1/10 scale Lightning Here's the Deal

After a lot of negotiating with a number of suppliers, here's what I came up with.

First, the SVT Lightning is Tamiya's best selling 1/10 scale RC vehicle and I could get almost no movement on pricing for the normal kit itself. They did come up with a very interesting alternative which I will present here.

They are overstocked on their TAO2 Special Racing Chassis kit, which is a heavily modded version of the same chassis found in the regular Lightning kit. They are also overstocked on the Body Set for the Lightning which consists of the body and decals that come in the regular Lightning kit. As is normal in the RC biz, the Special Racing Chassis comes with no motor, no speed control and no radio.

What I have done is to put together a package deal to give you a complete kit using components that complement the Chassis and at a price about the same as the normal kit.

The package is as follows:
TAO2 Racing Special Chassis
Lightning Body Kit
Trinity Midnight Modified Motor
Futaba 2PC 2 channel radio
Blast Electronic Speed Control
Duratrax 1500MH Sport Pack Battery
Hobbico 905 15 min charger/discharger
Full retail price for this package is $610
My normal shop price is $366
My f-150online price is $270 plus shipping.

If you still wanted the SVT Lightning kit as originally proposed, that price would be $236 including the stock supplied motor and mechanical speed control and the Futuba radio and Duratrax battery.

Trust me, the Racing Special Chassis is the better deal by far. It will be very, very fast and very reliable.

You will also need 2 cans of RC Polycarbonate paint and 8 AA batteries to run the radio. We will throw in the two cans of paint for free. All stock Lightning colors are available plus silver, yellow, whatever you prefer.

Note Well: These are kits, not Nikko or Tyco/Radio Shack cars. They take about 4-5 hours to assemble; you need to trim and paint the bodies and apply the decals. They look just about exactly like a real Lightning. If you want one but do not feel comfortable assembling/painting them, we charge $70 to put them in full running condition.

If you have any questions, e-mail me at MOSTOYSINC@AOL.COM, call me at 770-426-8034 (home) or 770-426-8800 (shop) Wed/Sun.

Payment can be made by all major credit cards or by check or money order.

Look forward to hearing from you

Bill

Sounds like a great deal. If you could post directions to your store coming from Lawrenceville that would be great. I should be able to make it out there on Sat. Thanks.
