SAL: Hi, it's Dave..you just replied my e-mail about running NOS on a 94 lightning withought mass air. The dual chip sounds great, how much more HP will i gain over the JET chip that i have right now?..and if the second mode on the chip has the timing retarded for the NOS setup i would only use it when running NOS correct?..Thus, the first mode on the chip should be with advanced timing for street performance withought NOS right?. I'd really appreciate it if you could send me some specs on the chip..dyno results etc..thanx

Hey Dave, Sal here. What I was suggesting with the Dual Chip, is to have Program 1 set up for fun, off the bottle driving, and then we can make program 2 with timing tables for use with the nitrous. I have run NOS on my 95, so I am very familiar with nitrous use on the 93-95s. As a general rule, you must pull 2 degrees for every 50hp worth of nitrous. That works good with the NOS, but regular drving suffers. So I'd make the second program have the proper pulled timing for use with however much NOS you use. The way to set the chip up, is instead of using a switch, you would hook the wiring for the chip up to your nitrous arming switch, this way as soon as you get ready to use the NOS, the chip is in NOS mode. I've done this for nitrous users many times, and it seems to be the hot set up. I can't really say how much you'll gain over the JETchip because I'm don't have any data on the JET chip, and I don't even know anyone using it to get any basis on it. Most chip companies just add timing to thier chips and this is not good if you intend to use NOS, so I definately wouldn't run the JET chip with the nitrous.

As you said earlier, you could do the duel mode for a 2000 juicer, about how much would this run? I won't have my truck till March, maken plans already.
I wish there was a 3 program chip, I would like a dd (daily driven), a track (with nitrous retard), and a street (standard chip tricks).

You would probably never need the daily driver mode, once you have it in position 2, putting it back in 1 is like pulling a spark plug wire (i know you can't on this truck), you can control daily driving mode with your foot.
Hey Steven, Sal here. Technically, you could have 3 programs. You could have stock settings by having the chip out, and then 2 more settings in the chip. Of course that's not extremely convienient that way, but it's just an option. As for the chips for 99-up trucks, they come standard in the Dual Chip version, and cost $355 shipped.

Sal,
I was wondering if you got my check for the conical air filter setup and the new chip you have been working on. If you have, please let me know and also mention when you think it might go into the shipping bin. I am really looking forward to getting these goodies and making mit der go-fast.
Thanks in advance...
