NEED HELP!! asap (FTVB)

I just installed my ftvb a few minutes ago. I then proceeded to drive it around the block. And, I'm having some serious problems. First off, overdrive is non-existent, the truck doesnt seem to want to shift at all, and every now and then it seems as though something in the drivetrain is spinning and not catching.

What caused this? I have a feeling it is something simple, as nothing went wrong during the install. Maybe too much fluid, not enough torque on the vb bolts (which i double checked), bad gasket, defective vb? What do you guys think?

did you fill it back up with fluid? if so, then maybe a bad VB... where did you get it from?

The overdrive light is not blinking and does work properly, but when overdrive is turned off, nothing happens.

Took the vb off, put the stock one back in. Everything is fine now, was a defective vb. But the 1-2 shift is still a little hard...maybe i left the other springs in...no big deal though

Count me in.

As long as the weather holds I'll be there.
