Mileage on Lightings
I can't decide if it worth 5000.00 dollars to drive my new Lighting 4000 miles to Anchorage and 4000 miles back. I have some work to do for the FAA in Anchorage. They are giving me the option of driving or flying. I get a total of 14 days of travel
for the trip and will be there for 45 days. I guess the money could buy alot of upgrades for the lighting but the mileage and road conditions are something terrible. I have to decide by monday. I would get some looks at this truck up there I bet. I could do some great open road test too.

Did it once 30 years ago.
Everything went fine except for multiple rock cracks in the windshield and the need for a complete front end repaint from rock chips.
They may have paved the entire route by now, but several hundred miles were gravel back then, hard packed, but still nasty for the small rocks that kept hitting me.
On the other hand, it was an absolutely spectacular drive. If it is all paved, I would probably do it.
