Not quite sure what your asking, but if you are asking who does the best ported heads, I think Fox Lake does...

What you will find is almost everyone will love the heads they bought. You don't see a lot of built block guys switching aftermarket heads. I know of 0 comparison tests. I guess you could look at manufacturer flow numbers..

Exactly. That's the problem with "what _ is best?" posts -- people reply with "X is the best." But they have not compared the product with anything else and have no other data to back up the conclusion.

further more, for some reason certain vendors are scared to show their flow numbers.

Buy and pray is what they want you to do!

All I can say is that I had a hand ported set that were crap due to the porter taking too much material out of the exhaust bowl which caused me to go through 2 sets of valve guides. I'm running a set of JDM's CNC'd heads now and couldn't be happier. Just go with a reputable tuner and you should be fine. As Tim mentioned above, I also haven't seen any comparisons and I don't know whose heads are best. What I do know is that mine are badazz and I'm a satisfied customer.

Real comparisons just arn't out there for our trucks and different heads. Just like there arn't any real comparisons of different cams. It just seem like built motor guys get a set of ported heads where ever their motor comes from, and go with whatever cams that builder sells.

Mine is a VT longblock, so it has Fox Lake heads, and I ended up with Crower cams due to availability problems, but might be switching those out with some Comps this fall.

I know two guys that have a VT longblock and love them. I have a JLP built longblock with stage 3 cams, if I had to do it all over again and was not in a hurry I would of had fox lake do my heads. Here in a couple of weeks a friend of mine and I will be putting a set of fox lake heads on his new built fox lake short block and we will see the results very soon after of what the gains will be.

Seems to be ok; just trying to get other things squared away. Like I said; I wish it had some Comp cams instead of these Crowers. Probably be a fall/winter project to swap them out.

Had it at the dyno Saturday, but didn't have time to tune it which it needs a lot of work on. Did 561HP on 17~18#'s, but like I said it had problems here and there that need to be address, and are.
