Unhappy Lack of Enthusiasm?

Is it me or is there a lack of enthusiasm towards the Lightning?

It wasn't too long ago that a lot more people showed their enthusiasm by showing off their trucks on my registry. There was even a time when the Lightning and Cobra guys were neck to neck in terms of numbers, now you guys are totally outnumbered! Its a shame...

For those that want to keep the spirit going, and haven't done so already, please e-mail me the following info to: svtregistry@gmail.com or simply post your information here and I'll put it up on the site:

- Picture of your Lightning
- SVT build # and year
- Your name and State
- mod list, web site, photo gallery or anything else you want to show off

Lets kick it up a bit shall we?

--Russ

PS. for those that haven't seen the site already check it out: www.myroadtrip.net/svt I'm trying to get SVTregistry.com transferred back in my name but it ain't going so well so I just might register SVTregistry.org or something to make it a not for profit organization specializing in SVT's.

Red face oh yea thats a real friendly reply...

I don't think I ever forced anyone to join my site... So far everyone has added their SVT's voluntarily, I would like to see more added because its pretty cool seeing vehicles manufactured around the same time and what the new owners have done with them, but with hostile attitude like you're showing, this thread will either get locked ore most likely left with no replies until the same effect is created.

I'm not saying you should register your truck, but if you did that would of been cool.

What happened to the last site you put up like this? How did that one turn out as far participation. I know I was on it. Maybe I'll get around to it again.

last time I had it I ran it for two years, the site slowed down and those people that were joining were driving me crazy by excluding information that I did need to list their cars, I was also very busy with college so I decided to give the site to the owners of SVTperformance. They didn't really care for it though and it was deleted.

I was getting e-mails with new additions for the longest time, and recently they started popping up again so I decided to re-launch it but this time with the experience I got from the old site in mind I build it very much fool proof. There's a system of checks and balances which will automatically prevent me from making some mistakes I used to make.

The old site was pretty popular, but it only featured small thumbnails. On this site I not only increased the size of the pictures you can list but I post a couple of pictures which gives the owner a chance to show off before and after mod pix, or engine and interior shots besides just the typical exterior shots.

In the two months of its existance I have already completely used up all the free space I had available on myroadtrip.net site that I had for my personal Road Tripping, and am about to expand it. There's about 300 cars and trucks on the site now. Almost all 50 states are already represented, and there are a great deal of international cars as well.

The only thing that I'm not seeing a lot yet, like I used to see with the previous site, is sequential numbers. There's maybe three or four instances of back to back build # cars on the site, and I don't think I have had yet a single Lightning in sequence with more than one owner. I think thats probably the coolest thing to see, how did Ford/SVT spread out the Lightning distribution and what did the new owners choose to do with their trucks, also tells you the colors and what state each truck went for. I find it kind of neat.

Fred, its people who add their SVT cars who make the site good, thanks for participating!

BTW, what kind of tires are those, just saw them on a Cobra, look real cool.

Oh and for some reason, don't take offense to this, but your truck looks just like a die cast model, with the smoked headlights and all, thats pretty unique.

thanks,
--Russ
