Stock deck with subs?

i wanna throw some subs behind the seats in my L. Whats a good box to go with? ive seen a few made for regular cab F-150s. i would like to keep the stock deck. where should i relocate the six disk to? i have a high to low level converter for tapping into the speaker wires, but i noticed you can unplug the changer. is there a plug i can get that has outputs? if not what wires do i need to tapp. im not worried about the radio.

It will fit right under the center of the 60/40 seat. I had mine mounted so i could switch CD's on the run if needed.

Sound quality will suffer using the stock deck IMO. But if I was going to try this, I would get two seperate custom boxes made. Have them pushed as far to the outside as possible. Relocate the CD changer to the middle area behind the seat. You will have to fab some wiring to extend the cables this far, but this will allow you to still have easy access to the changer.

I Agree I ran the Stock Head Unit for about a Year and just put a new one in a Week or so ago and it truly is night and day it sounds so crisp and clear I kick Myself for waiting this long..

I've used the stock deck in both my '01 and '03. The easiest thing to do make a T-harness with a regular and reverse stereo harness. I used a Navone engineering LOC and the sound is pretty darn good. I mounted the cd changer under the center section of the seat with some L-shaped aluminum from Home Depot. This is better than under the pass seat because that space is better used for an amp. I'm using an MTX Thunderform speaker/enclosure.
