1/10 Scale RC Lightning etc. Update
I am getting fairly close to negotiating a deal direct with Tamiya, who manufacture the 1/10 scale RC Lightning electric truck.
I have already negotiated a deal on what is called a "Track Pack" with another supplier which consists of one battery pack, a good 15 minute charger and a Futaba 2 channel radio.
We would be looking at a basic package including the truck and the Track Pack that would be very attractive price wise.
In addition, I will list a series of upgrades that could improve the performance almost to the level of a nitro powered vehicle but with reduced run times (8 minutes versus the normal 12-15 minutes).
The plastic model kit is still scheduled for a November release date, but I am trying to see if we can get it earlier.
I have not yet found a metal die cast version of the Lightning, but have contacted a couple of mfgrs. who currently do the F250 in 1/25 scale as a screw together metal kit. They show some interest, but this type of thing takes time. I have mailed them a bunch of road test copies to try to whet their interest.
Hopefully by this time next week, I will have some firm prices and delivery date info for those of you that are interested.
