Tips on removing starter motor........

if you have never done it before..........there is 3 bolts. We were working on a truck with headers and not only could you not see it, but after 45 minutes of the starter not coming out and us thing it was jammed, we figured there was another bolt and we couldn't see it because of the headers.

Just a fyi for anyone. I am used to the 2 bolts on my 302 and 351's........

Yea....mine was a PITA!!!! The top bolt was a pain. I jacked up the front...removed the fenderweld....and dropped down the header. Good luck.

yeah

well, AFTER we realized there was 3 and not 2, it wasn't bad. Just used two 6 inch extension with a 1/4 drive 13mm shallow socket. Slid the socket up on there while using the Hubble telescope to peak between the header pipes. Once on, i got a longer extension and a ratched.

F taking the header off
