i forgot to add a lightning with a pulley tune and filter should definitely walk a stock c5.

 

i have never run one , but i seen a new yellow / black top vert with an auto run 2 13.2 and 2 13.3 so it can be done

 

Be careful who you listen to. They run in the 12s stock.

 

I have similar mods to my '04L (4lb lower, CAI, SCT9100 custom tune, Magnaflow cat-back). My truck ran 12.8 @ 109 on its virgin trip to the strip.

Stock C5 Vettes at the same dragstrip would be fortunate to run that time. Typically on street tires they are in the 13.1-13.2 @ 111mph range.

When my '02 Z06 was _stock_ it ran 12.3 @ 116mph at the same track. The C6 hardtop should run mid, high-12s stock.

Draw your own conclusions, these are just some facts for you.

 

i know a guy with an 04 running 7.80s, 7.70s with some simple bolt ons, and a higher stall converter + drag radials. that was when i was running 8.20s, high 8.1s. i'd say a STOCK C5 would be a pretty good match. C6 will move by you.

 

well over here in aruba there's a zo6 Stock one that runs best 11.94 sec 1/4 mile with slicks

well you guys told me what i wanted to hear. i wouldnt expect to keep up with a C6, but if i can beat a mostly stock C5 by a couple lengths. ill be all grins.
