Post detailing your lightning

anybody have any tips on how they detail their lightning? i really like the eagle 1 products. i also like the 3m gloss enhancer,it really works good on black .i also like the california duster . dust is a big problem for black paint, and the CD really takes it off.it really works between the cab and bed in that tight spot.does any one have trouble with their tire slinging armor all on the truck?i can spray it on,wipe it down and let it sit for 3 or 4 days and it still slings it everywhere.

I started using damn what is that car wash, the one that requires next to no drying?
Anyhow you use the old slow hose slosh to incrase the surface tension of the water molecules so they coalesce. Works pretty damn good. But,I`m getting lazy in My old age.
I noticed that tireblack problem as well. I hope it was tire treatment. I wouldn't want to think it was minute particules of Rubber..grin.
I do use a sheepskin glove to wash it down and stop[and change to a soft terrycloth around the lower regions. The factory sealant they had put on seemed to dull the paint. Wax is a must right off I think. The bug guts come off easier. Here in L.A.,thats Lower Alabama they are whorendous.

I only have one thing to say on this subject.......ZANIO. Sal Zaino has a product for every part of your car or truck. As far a slinging silicon all over the truck, check out Sals product it is the best, and it stays on the tires. I use Zaino on my Lightnings and my Vettes....believe me use it and you will love it!!!!!..later...Tybee

Still waiitng for the drawings and a local contact on the Invinci-Shield product. It looks very promising. I also noticed that Rain-x now has a wash and a wax product that will repel water the same way as thier windshield treatment. Itchin' to find some and try it out.

Chuck,

If you talk to Beth McCormick at Invinca-Shield (1-888-558-4034), she will fax you the drawings of the '99 Lightning kit.
