Head gasket Question

What is THE head gasket to get? Is the ford gasket still the one to use?Today when taking out my tranny to send my PI converter back to PI, Cooland came out of my long tubes when i removed the cats. When I was turning the motor over for the torque converter bolts coolant came out of number 4 cyl so i need to remove the head too now

Will, the factory head gaskets are still the ticket. If you plan on runing higher boost torque them babies to 80 ft lb.

"Thats what I have mine torqued to, that is not a ford thing it's my thing!"

Peace,

Suavy

HI!... I did a ton of research before choosing my head gaskets for my built 5.4. I ended up going with COMETIC head gaskets. Not cheap, but well worth it. About $400(CAN) for two.

I agree with Neal. the Cometics are pricey but well worth it.
