Now that they have been out and people have had experience, can anyone give a good answer to which one is better?
Thx.

Personally i have not had good luck with diablosport a few years ago.

Putting that aside, the truth is its all in the tuner who is tuning it.If you are just going with a regular tune, STICK WITH SCT2.

A custom tuned X-cal2 is far superior to the Predator, or any other generic tuner on the market period....

apples to oranges...

a custom tuned predator is just as good as a custom tuned xcal2.

i prefer the datalogging capabilities of the predator. you can watch a bunch of the sensors at once and record them with just the device. the xcal2 needs a laptop hooked up to see the values.

i switched to an xcal2 because my new tuner uses sct software. the xcal2 is much quicker loading tunes and can hold a couple tunes on the device which is good, if you want to be able to swtch tunes at the track without bringing a laptop.

each one has it strengths and shortcomings, imho.

Are you saying 1/2 hour to load tunes into the truck from the Predator? 7-10 min tops for me.

"Sure, I'll race you from the light! Hang on for a few minutes while I load my race tune"

v.s.

"Sure, I'll race you from the light! (reaches over and flips the 4-way to RACE mode!)

i have had both. the xcal2 is much better imo. the xcal2 holds 3 custom tunes and is alot faster when downloading programs. hp vs hp is left up to the tuner. jlp / jdm can make great power with either programer. use the one that your tuner of choice uses.

no, when your tuner is making a custom tune change it takes forever to load it onto the predator....not sure how long it takes to load to the truck never did it, my tuner has always loaded it.
like someone said, use what your trusted tuner likes.
