After I cleaned the inside of my truck I plugged my predator into the data port under the dash and I couldn't get it to power up. I think that I got some cleaner (Tough Stuff) on the terminal of the truck (not sure the exact name) which caused the terminal to short out. I think it is the termanal instead of the predator because I had Autozone try their scanner on the truck and it wouldn't power up either. Does anyone know which wire is the power? I don't want to just poke around with a voltmeter because I might hurt the computer. After this I now have the airbag light on on the dash and the light for turning the air bag on and off by the radio no longer comes on. Any help you guys can give will be greatly appreciated. Thank You!

 

Sounds like you may have blown a fuse. If you touch one of your probes, from your meter, to ground and then use the other to check for power you will not hurt anything.

In the fuse panel located in the passenger compartment fuse number 22 is a 10A fuse for: Air bag Module, Passenger air bag deactivation module. So that’s one to check out and see if its been blown.
