I need some specs for a supercharger pull

so i found oil in my boot and on my TB the other day. and after looking around it seems that even thought the truck is young (27,000) but i saw some pics of much younger ones that were just caked. so now im gonna try to dive into this thing on friday. i havent done alot of work on cars. mostly cnc machines and such. it looks to be a four hour ordeal for someone who knows what they're doing. so im guessin a solid 7-8 for me. ive read of people re-using the gaskets. if thats not a good idea, where can i find a replacement one at? also ive heard its not a good idea to reuse the supercharger bolts. if so where can i find a new set of those babies? and last question how many ft/lbs are the main bolts torqued to?

I second these questions too - I am going to pull and clean mine soon, and I'm going to need gaskets/bolts as well. Hoping to find some aftermarket parts - I live at an APO address, and it is impossible to find a dealership (or anyone else, with a few exceptions) that will ship to me...Anybody able to help?

Shooter - don't forget the lubricant/oil for the s/c as well...

I just got in touch with these guys:

http://www.svtperformance.com/forums...d.php?t=141765

They have some pretty good prices...Ask for Mike M. and tell him that the guy who asked about the APO shipping told you to call. He should be able to hook you right up.

destiny, fate..it was meant to be! Good luck with your i/c cleaning. Got some tips/pointers that helped me:
1. I did not separate the TB, plenum and blower: lifted them out as one piece (disassembled later for cleaning)
2. watch out for the 2 rear bolts: they will snag the firewall if you do not tilt the blower slightly (another set of hands is most helpful here)
3. Have some coolant ready: you will need to fill up the i/c after you're done cleaning it
4. Do not get the brake/carb cleaner on the rotors: it will get stripped
5. For my first time: I took pictures and labeled the hoses/lines/connectors. You miss to reconnect one and your truck will not start.

TIP: I actually did not disconnect a lot of the wires/hoses on the driver side of the blower (where the EGR nut is). Unscrew the 2 bolts from the mounting plate and Lifted the entire mess of wires as one unit and put it aside (look at pix on Part II here to see the plate I am talking about):

LAST TIP: this guy had very good results using CASTROL SUPERCLEAN (might come out cheaper vs. buying 6-8 cans of cleaner):

you can plug the intercooler with (2) 1/2" hose caps then take a small tub to catch the coolant from the lines leading to the intercooler. Layered plastic wrap and a rubber band would also work in a pinch.

Helps keep the mess down and no need to change the intercooler fluid.
