Its time for some new back tires. What is the best drag radial for a mostly street driven truck? Also do they ballance as good as a regular radial?

Longest lasting drag radial is likely the Nitto 555R. Still, you are probably limited to 10k miles. Best hooking drag radial money can buy is the Mickey Thompson, not available in 18 inch though.

I really would like to see mt come out with a 18, Id love to try em. Ive rode in a truck with mt drag radials, 16 in, on a truck that sprayed a 100-150 shot of nos and they hooked like a mother on pavement. I have access to them anytime I want to try them, I just have to mount them on some ford rims. They are off of a 96 dodge indy ram, I wish they would bolt right up , but oh well.

I think that is really the only option right now. One of the reason's that I've not yet bought DR's, nittos aren't all that impressive compared to a good ole F1. I'd wait for BFG or MT.

A Bud of mine with a KB Cobra says with Nittos he can almost hook 1st gear nailing it on a roll and he makes 560 RWHP, so I'm surprised to hear they aren't much better than F1's. I was seriously thinking about going with them.

That's more my opinion. I saw someone say they went 1.5x on them recently, so that's nice.

I've had the Nitto DR's on for 3500 miles and am more than happy with the switch. All I did was smoke the F1's in 1st, even on a roll. These give off a little squeal from a dead stop and off we go!

I've seen a pullied Lightning get a 1.68 60' on Nitto's. I can't remember ever seeing an F1 come close to that.

Discount tire direct. I think they are still doing free shipping too. I put it off for years, thinking they cant be much better than the F1's and now I'm kicking myself for not buying them sooner! They are AWSOME!!!! 460hp and barely any tire spin on the street!
