It depends on how you drive through the neighborhood. I don't hear complaints about mine; and, I have LTs and Hi-Flo cats as well. I take it easy close to home; but, I have set off car alarms at just off idle.

i have the silver bullit with the kooks LT's and high flow cats

I have to idle in my driveway to not **** of the neighbors as I been told I have woken their kids up set off their car alarms, I have many times scared the **** out of people beside me, when I have hammered it.

and I have also received two tickets for unnecessary noise to,

I know of 2 other lightning owners with Mac and bassani (no cats)those exhausts are nothing compared to the silver bullit.
Make sure you carry a set of ear plugs for the passenger

Want a bad *** sound and want to be noticed, then this is the exhaust for you

I'm looking to quiet it down as the wife complains all the time--i have tried duct tape on the wife but it only works for a short time.

As Odin's Wrath said It's one loud sonofabitch!

yup

my truck was almost as loud when i had just the silver bullet, and my old man had the long tubes, high flows, and the bigger oval mufflers.

Now i have the long tubes, high flows and silver bullet and it's LOUD. It sounds really good though but it's definetely loud. I do a lot of coasting by detail cops and cops in general. I'm telling ya, at wot it's insane. when you see these truck it's what you expect to here. You go to the track and watch some stock lightnings go down the track and all you here is the blower comming and going. Not with mine. You here the blower as it approaches then you hear one mean SONOFABITCH !! hehe.

I have the same setup. It is LOUD! Just doesn't sound very "good" if you ask me.
I will be adding some high-flows, and I am still up in the air on a catback. Maybe a new Silver Bullet, Bassani or something custom. -Mat-

With just the cat back I think you will be fine. You can hear it, but its not obnoxious. Also, I don't think the cops will bag you for it unless you romp on it. I now have the full meal deal and yes....its one bad sonofabitch!!!!! But there is no better sound in the world!
