Clunk Washers and Alingment Done.
My alingment guy (Neal) that managed to get me 30k out of my last set of F1's gave me a little info on the cam kit. I was asking why so many people say that our trucks must have a kit installed. His response was that so many alingment people will try and sell you the kit because it is easy to install and they make money off of it. He said that not many want to take the time to re-set the upper mount (I am not a mechanic so excuse me if I misquote) because it does take time and there is not an extra charge for it.
He showed me how he did it and yes it took him a little while to get it right. Keep in mind that I am still stock. He also said that he could make more money selling these kits but just because someone makes a part doesn't always mean that it is needed. Now before you flame me remember that he did get me 30k out of a set of F1's so I half to assume he does know what he is talking about.
BTW he was happy to hear that someone was finally making spindles for our trucks. I asked about lowering the rear and he suggested getting the rear re-arked. That way pinion would stay the same. Anyone have any thoughts on this?
Sorry for the long post.

Bingo. sounds to me like you found qa great alignment guy. On f-150's expeditions etc the have slots where the upper control are attaches to the frame. the factory installs a square metal washer to keep the control are from moving. if you castor or camber is out you have to remove the washer and either use a cam bolt or tighten it up with the exhisting bolt and risk it moving. it's a bitch because you have to move it, resweep, then adjust and both caster and camber have to be within specs.

That was it. Resweep not re-seat. Sorry. BTW this guy is a real car nut. He already has his money down for a Shelby 500 and its on his receit that he gets it for no more than MSRP.
