through state farm mine is 1223 every 6 months. 21, in my own name no points that they know about, zero deductible, and too much coverage as per my agent lol. When i was in maryland mine was 900 for the truck and 600 for my beater escort that i left in maryland. I had the escore listed as my primary and the truck as a weekend car though. But that was under my parents policy. Also state farm DOES have a seperate category for lightning. The difference between a reg cab flare side short bed and a lightning was like 100 bux every 6 months.

Insurance cost can sometimes be a huge difference from one city to the next let alone one state to another. The only way you will have a good ball park number is to call around and get some quotes.

Even for the same city the cost of insurance can be a huge difference from one insurance company to another so it pays to shop around and I would highly recommend you stay with a big name such as State Farm, Allstate, Progressive, etc as if you go with some unknown for less money they most likely won’t be there when you need them…

Marry an old man and you can cut that by an easy 50%
BTW, I just happen to know an old guy that.......

02 L $531.60 every 6 months
03 Mitsi-something $538.30 every 6 months
$2139.80 a year total for both

Florida Rates $uck, I'm 36 & pay $1400 on my 04' L w/ an immaculate record...

My ex-girlfriend (33) was paying $1400 yr in Central Jersey on a Sebring Coupe using the NJ Mfgs discount (don't know how much it saves) & it went up to $1600 a year in South Florida...

I see this insurance stuff mostly just depends on what company you are with and where you are located. I am with state farm (as are my parents) and i will have it under their names for as long as i can (which should be a while and that ought to bring it down to hopefully 500 or so every 6 months if my bro is on his own paying 600 every six. But who knows it all seems to differ somehwere like you guys were saying i just need to get actual quotes from them to see the real price id pay. Since i havent had any wrecks or tickets yet either ought to pay off big too as long as i can keep it that way.

P.S. ....Please dont underestimate me just for being 17 y.o. i have driven my bro's L several times so i know what they are like and i can almost asure you that im one of the more mature and responsible teenagers you will see compared to most who dont think before they act. Not jumping on anyone im just saying the truth.. because i can see how most 17 y.o. would be an *** in one....but if i paid 18 grand or watever with the money i hard worked for id make sure to baby it if anything. Except when someone gets ****y with me at the stoplight or when im at the strip...but then again all of you older guys are all guilty of that too (gotta have fun sometimes) and by the way just because im 17 doesnt mean i shouldnt complete my goal of finally purchasing one of these bad boys any how should it?

bingo. the reason insurance is a little higher here is because by the time you notice your car is stolen it's already in mexico plus all the people drivin aropund with no insurance

While its neat to post your rates..the only way the guy is gonna know is to call himself. There are toooo many variables..I am an insurance agent..

Here is an example..

If I live in the area code 66106 here in KC, lets say for arguments sake the L is 1,000.00 a year...

If I moved to 66202 which is in some cases one block to the south of 66106..
The insurance would drop to 600.00/year

So I say..Make the call to your agent!! if you have an agent.
