Yet another question for you suspension guys...

What are the alternatives to getting a true 6" drop besides a flip kit? The flip kit makes the ride of the truck in the rear horrible. I think one of the reasons it is horrible is because the 03-04 leafs being stiffer, as well as the leafs acting in a way they weren't designed to.

If I went with 2" front hangers, and belltech leaf springs, would the ride be better? What combination of components can I use to get the truck to ride good. Money really isn't an issue, i'd just like to do it right. Thanks

-Mike

really the spring is still acting like it should [keeping the truck up in the air]So the ride may fo changed but not because of the springs. What about shocks?how much travel do you have between the bumpstop and axle?IF you have less than 3 inches you are at risk of bending an axle tube on hard bumps.Stan

Bag it with a huge C-notch.

hotchkis leafs and belltech shackles on the 2" setting will get you 5" out back. right now i've got hotchkis leafs and belltech shackles on the 1" setting and i've got about a 4.25" rear drop. truck rides awesome and handles great with the hotchkis leafs, and in the front i have ruslow 1000 lb coils. i need to drop the front of the truck another inch though to give it a slight rake back, since right now its either dead level, or the rear is a hair lower than the front depending how i'm parked, and i dont like the look of that but i dont want to raise the back up, i'd rather lower the front more

Alright.... so I finally installed my C-Notches. I didn't realize how easily my truck was bottoming out. It rides just like it did stock, all over again. I guess the 8 hours it took to install my C-Notches was way worth it, although I still may go for a 4-Link setup.
