Finished Painting my Calipers (before and after pics)

I had a chance today to take some pictures of my painted calipers. Thanks to many on the board that suggested doing this, I think it makes a big difference and cost under $20.

My truck had about 2K on it in the before picture and had never been driven in rain. The after picture is with about 3K on it.

Before

After

I got all my information by searching on painted or painting calipers. Some use a spray on kit some use a brush kit. I liked the blue anodized look, so that’s what I went with.

I will try and answer some questions that I saw asked in the other posts. I masked off everything. I painted the caliper still attached to the truck, but I removed the brake pads and painted them back to add a little contrast. In the back I went as far as painting the pad itself black and the clip blue. Pics of the rear are below. I used duplicolor Metalcast spray paint. I got it at Autozone and I think you can get it at wal-mart as well. I bought the groud coat and put two coats of that stuff on first. I hate RUST, so I took the rotors off and masked off the dust cover and the rotor surface and painted them with some high temp black paint.

Link to information about the paint.

I got the decals from a guy on ebay, he is also on the SVTPerformance message boards. This was the link I was pointed to.

I don’t think anyone has posted pics of the rear calipers painted sooooo here are a few

I wonder what Blue would look like on Silver? I want to do mine but i haven't decided what color to go with yet, i know i don't want to go with Red. I thought of maybe Silver, but that Blue looks good.

Wont the heat kill that Metalcast paint? It's not a high-temp paint
