Another Newbe Question

Hey guy’s, I’m new to the forum and you have already answered lots of questions I had. I have a 01 lightning that I bought new that is still stock with almost thirty thousand miles on it. My question is that I want to ad a cat-back exhaust system to it, but I still have two years on my extended (not sure if it was a good financial move) warranty and I want to know if they can void it when or if I have a problem. I have been reading about guys loosing spark plugs at thirty thousand miles. I can afford the monthly payments but not a replacement head or engine. I don’t want to chip it or upgrade the engine yet I just want the sound to go with the performance. I have probably passed over threads that cover this a hundred times but thanks for the help ahead of time.

A catback is a very safe mod. Don't expect any additional performance, just good sound. If you dealer is a butthead they could potentially void your exhaust/emissions warranty if you happen to have an iss with the system. Very unlikely. Bassani is the way to go.

agree with Silver Bolt above. In fact, the full exhaust on my '01 actually hurt my torque numbers a bit. But I would still rather have the rumble/roar though
BTW, it was taken in for warranty work for a spit plug by the previous owner, no questions raised with the exhaust
