Temp sender in resevoir ok?

Would it be a good location to drill and tap into this alum. resevoir? I have a defi coolant temp guage and want to install the sender here, but I don't know if that is good location or not. Any advice would be appreciated, THanks!

Water does not circulate thru the reservoir, it acts as an expansion tank for the coolant so it would not be a very good place for the temp sensor.

It would have a slow reaction to temperature changes if it were located in the tank.

is that the intercooler tank or the rad overflow tank. if it is the intercooler tank it would work because the fluid flows from the aftercooler to that tank before it goes to the heat exchanger but if its the rad tank it wouldnt work as stated above.

Thanks for the clarification regarding the two tanks. Which is the more important measurement, intercooler temps or water temps?
