LIne lock instuctions

I need the instructions for the Outrageous performance line lock kit. I have emailed them, but hope someone here can get back to me quicker as I want to get this sucker in.

Also....I'm not to familiar with the basic use of one. Can someone walk me through the basic steps of using it? (Hit brakes, push button, release brakes, do burnout, push button again? Is that right?)

That is correct on the use. The installation is a snap. Just remove the inside bolt on the brake booster, skide the outrageous bracket over it, attach gnd wire on the same stud, tighten down. then remove the front (forward) brake line and attach short brake line from there to selonoid. Then attach the line you removed to the selonoid. Then wire one side of a switch to 12v, and the other to the red lead coming out of the selonoid, and thats it.

Whip,

Shoot me an e-mail or message (dan dot mcguire @ nice dot com) and I can e-mail you the installation instructions that I had previously saved to my hard drive.

Dan

Damn Don...I wish I knew you were home today...I meant to ask you yesterday if you had the directions. Anyway, its installed and working great, just got to bleed the brakes tonight. My only thoughts are....wouldn't an on/off switch be better than a momentary? Am I using it right, in that you have to hold the button the whole time you do your burnout?

yes

you have to hold the button down to keep the solenoid holding front brake pressure.

Usually what i do is i have it mounted on my shifter.

I go through the water and spin my tires like you normally would. Then i drop it into 2nd and creep out of the water. Then i put the brakes down hard and hold the button, then let off the brakes. Then fry them up. When you feel the motor start to bog and you know the tires are ready, just let off the button, then let off the gas. You'll roll right out of it.

Night and day between trying to hold the brakes and do your burnout.

For the 6 or 7 seven seconds you use it, wouldn't be worth switching on and off, just hold it down with your thumb.

Send me a shout, if you need those instructions, have them saved on the hard drive. Its a simple install.
Here's a hint.......Set the front of the truck on jackstands, then break the brake lines, do your tie-ins, and let the truck sit. It took a few hours before my "helper" stopped by to help me bleed the brakes. Big surprise, no air in the lines. My thought, having the front of the truck, in the air......let the air bubbles ( Air has to be in the system after breaking the lines) rise to the top.........aka. master cylinder! Worked for me

Thanks again for the input. Installed, and bled! I tested it out and fogged the local neighborhood for bugs too!
