Did plug, pully & chip, now sputters

I just did my 4#lower and chip, and changed the plugs-denso it22's. I chipped a little piece off one plug(real little), but still gapped it 36 like the rest. Just wondering if this is my problem or am I just a bad plug changer all togethher. Any advice would be helpful.
Thanks
Mike

First things first! Get the damaged plug out and replace it ASAP! You asking for trouble with that. You could of put a hair line fracture in it that you can not see and the plug could fall to peices and damage cylinder walls or damage a valve on the way out.
Second.. Make sure you reconnected all the injector and coil pack connections. It is easy to overlook if you were in a rush.

Do all that and report back.

Thanks for the heads up, can you get denso it22's at local autoparts stores? I F'd up the plug with the gapper, it dug into the metal and chipped it.

More then likely you'll need to find a foreign auto parts store in order to get one or order on from JLP as he carries them in stock. He ships really quick also.
What kind of gapper are you using? You need kind that has a grove in it that slides over the ground post and lets you bend it up or down without coming into contac with the electrode. Sears sells a nice tool ( lash feeler ) that has it built into it and the lash shims are good for checking plug gaps also. I think it's under $20 or so for the tool.

thanks for the info guys. I changed back the the stock plugs and cleaned the contacts on the PCM better. It starts right up now and drives, but as i accelerate it sounds like im leaking air, or ticking. Sounds like its under the gas peddle or something. Kind of like a sputter. Can this still be the chip, because i cleaned it alot better than it was and it already runs better.
Help Me Guys
Thanks
Mike

Why not just go down to your local Auto Part Store and pick up 8 NGK-TR6's for less than $15.00 and install them. I have never met "anyone" that could prove that the Densos's are a superior plug.

I probably will go with the TR6's since i already ate the Denso's, but i wonder if that would fix the problem. It sounds like when you ride in a beater car, the all engine sound with crappy exhaust. I hope to figure it out and fix it I want to feel the 4# and chip.

I dropped a box of 4 NGK's down 3 metal steps (2 years ago) that were for my Camaro and I tossed them in the trash b/c I know myself and everyday I would worry about the damn plugs....

Try removing the chip and starting her up. It wont hurt anything if your idling or dont get into the boost while driving. I think some people here have ran +4lbs w/o a tune, but I wouldnt do it.

I fixed the noise i was hearing, I forgot to hook up a rubber hose between the second and third plug back on drivers side. But now it boggs down when i give it gas since i hooked it up. There's another one next to it, just wondering if i have them backwards. I have the one on the left going to the front one on the silver box and the other one on the back,; which was really tight to get on.
Thanks again
Mike

The hoses were backwards, it runs good now. Almost stalled at a light once. Still trying to figure out which side of my chip is stock and which is the good stuff.
