yes, an FTVB is a necessity for every L owner... It's not really a shift kit, but I think everyone will tell you it is probably the first mod that every L owner should do.

You'll get positive firm shifts. You'll really notice the difference. And it's easy to install. Probably one of the better "bang-for-buck" mod's.

At the strip, I can honestly say it took of a tenth on my time. The shifts are that much smoother.

I have a Line Mod Valve in my Lightning, and i've been seeing how every body is saying that if you have a Lightning you have to get a FTVB. So I called a known tuner and asked about me having the line mod valve, and should I take it out and go with a FTVB. His answer was that they have had 7 or 8 transmissions go bad with them, and I should stick with what I have. But it's getting harder to think that's right, because it seems everyone has, or is getting a FTVB. And if there was somthing wrong with them, there would be a line a mile long of guys with blown transmissions in Lightnings. And I was also thinking the same guy who designed our transmissions, designed the FTVB. So who better to design a mod for our transmission, than the man who designed it in the first place.

Your thoughts on this are absolutely correct.

I have over 75K combined miles on a FTVB and not one transmission problem, EVER. Who else amongst the Lightning aftermarket vendors warranties their parts? No one.

If a tuner can't (or won't) tune around it, that's their problem.

the FTVB quickens the time between the shifts. Thus resulting in Less Friction and heat.

It is a simple mod, yet the results are incredible.

(Especially with a 4.10 gear in the rear and JLP lift bars WOOHOO)
