I Have a fully built motor, Heads, stage II cams. Stock Eaton, 90mm mass air open filter. 4lb lower, 60lb injectors, 255 pumps, Borla Magnaflow mids, Pulling 9.5 lbs of boost. Truck ran a 13.114 at 105.6 2.010 60ft on street tires. If anyone knows the site for the weather at the time of the run I will post it also. Just seems like I have spent a ton of money to go just as fast as the guy with the 4lb lower and cold air.
Thanks
found the weather
temp felt like humidty wind bar
73°F 67°F 81% 7.0 miles 30.06 rising calm

Yes the heads are ported Its a JLP Longblock, along with no cats. I have Traction bars. On that run I didn't spin just rolled into it. I forgot I also have a 2400 Stall Art/Carr. And a metco idler...
well with all the money you spent you didnt buy go fast parts, just mainly strong parts for the new engine. the only go fast things you have are the 4# lower, cams and ported heads. get some slicks and use the advantage of having the stall convertor.
Who's tune are you runing?
I would check the bottom of the supercharger snout to see if you have a ton of belt dust there. I bet you do! You could first change the belt tensioner and check your belt.
I would'nt get to down in the dumps yet!
You have a built lower end it adds no power but give you a solid base to build on.
Stage 2 heads and cams, thats good for about 40 to 60 hp
Your pulley set up should be giving you at least 14 lb of boost. The only way I see that you would not make that much boost would be if your dump valve is hanging open or belt is slipping. Last but not least if you are runing long tubes with 3" exhaust.
Also those 60 lb injectors should be able to hold a ton of Hp.
I suggest you get a dyno tune or get with one of the major Lightning tuners. Your mods are pretty common so it should not be hard for a tuner to hook you up.
Peace,
Suavy

I assume that you have a programmer or a custom tune? If not I would highly suggest it. You might want to get the eaton ported too. Talk with JLP, I'm sure they can help you out!

I am currently running a dyno tune from Injected Racing in springfield. The bottom of the SC is clean and the belt is tight. With all the porting I have and no cats JL said I would loose 2-3 lbs of boost. 12lbs is what I would see on a stock block with a 4lb lower so 9.5 to 10lbs is about right. If any of you guys browse NLOC and kept up with my post about my stumble/shudder/backfire on my built motor, I went thru JLP for the tunes then. He sent me 10-15 tunes truck ran like crap. I had a ported eaton on the truck for the time I had it. I took the ported apten/steig blower off and the stumble/shudder/backfire was gone. Also 2 other board members have built Motors and have had the same problems, ALL OF US had apten/steig port from the special they were running at the time for 395$. NOT saying the apten steig was a bad port or they do bad port jobs. just strange how we all had it... KB got rid of it on one truck, and stocker got rid of it on mine. I ran that blower for a 4K miles it performed flawless and produced good numbers, On cold starts I still get a hesistation if I stab it from idle. Most of the people that have stage 2 cams also have this problem. Once the truck is warm it drives like stock.

I know the built motor won't add anything, I just wanted to see if someone said I have the capabilty to be a ton faster with the built block, also to see if I have laid a solid foundation to go fast, in the future. I was hoping to see better results from the heads/cams. Thing is Johnny can't tune it, Im positive he could if he had the truck. But its just not fesible for me to send it to him. Sorry but im done with JL till I see him at L fest. That might sound harsh but I have spent to much money on promises I was made and its not performing the way I wanted it to. We will see what he does for me at L fest. My 8grand I spent with him I know isnt much to him with all the business he runs but it is to some people. Enough about JL Im glad you had a good experience, as Im sure many others had, mine wasn't horrible just wasn't smooth. JLP makes good Products, and they stand behind them. I think He just got frustrated with my situation. Thanks for the advice, congrats on your 11's.

I have ran 26 in slicks on the truck ran 12.60's on 15lbs boost and 15degrees timing, then I ran 28 inch slicks and ran a 12.50 on 17lbs of boost and 18 degrees timing. Get this I ran 12.20's on street tires 15lbs boost and 15 degrees timing on a cold night 50's Just seemed like all that boost and timing it should have driven and raced better but it doesn't. Ported blower, I won't go down that road again.

With all the $ you have spent it is only going to help if you add boost or nitrous.
No power adders other than ported heads/cams and 4# pulley mean very average times easily matched by stock block guys.
