Okay, guys... I'm gonna put my neck on the noob chopping block here. :o Since my truck is going to be down for most of the icy German winter this year, I was thinking of doing a little internal work. Please let me know if I have left anything out here (my goal is to get to the point where I dont have to worry about it if I want to drop a 100-shot into it) :

ported s/c & plenum
camshafts
pistons
rods
piston rings
valves
retainer springs
head studs
an updated tune

Im right at 400hp now. What type of gain would this produce in relation to the safety factor of not turning my engine into a nuclear warhead?

Long tube header's, high flow cat's, and a stall. While the engine is out this is probably the best time to do these!
