So, I dont know what to do...throwing hands up in the air!

My 01 L with 18,000 miles is damn near undrivable with the way the suspension is. It bounces all over the place and I pretty much hate it. Im having problems tracking down a Roush kit. Non of the vendors have them, and Roush is saying that they dont even manufacture the part number for the kits anymore. I wanted a full solution kit because I didnt want to have to peicemeal all the parts together since I dont really know that much about suspension.

I looked at the So Cal Speed Shop kit and it looks good but people have complained about the springs.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Signed,

Disgruntled L owner in NY!

I dont want to do stock because I want a lowered stance. Anyone have the correct part number for the Hotchkis kit?

If your stock suspension "bounces you around," it will only get worse the more you mess with it. The performance suspension options will definitely roughen the ride more.

Other than airbags or switching to non-Lightning F150 springs, I am not aware of any options to smooth the stock ride.

if you think the stock suspension is bouncy, they you'll absolutely HATE the hotchkis, it is noticeably harsher than stock.

just my .02

I've done 84000 miles in my 01 L and don't understand what you mean by "bounces you around". Have you owned the truck since new? Is the suspension stock? It is a truck after all. Most aftermarket suspensions are designed to increase spring rates and dampening, in other words a stiffer suspension, harsher ride. Maybe it's just the crappy roads in NY or time for a different vehicle.

The truck is not lowered and its not the harsh ride that bothers me, its like the front end goes up and down way to much. Its definitely not right because this only started happening last year. Ive owned the truck for 4 years and it never drove like this in the before.
