My tranny hasn't been shiffting into O.D. I did some research and from the sounds of things it seems to be a bad valve? This morning my predator gave me that error. Tonight it started sliping going from park to drive. When in reverse it kind of shutters while backing up. Whats going on? Is my tranny going out with only 23,000 on it? I have had a FTVB for about 5,000 miles.

 

I have gone through 4 trannies and I only have 27k.

 

What trannies have you gone with? Monster Box or level 10? Or did you just go with stock? How much did it cost? Are you on it often? I guess I am...

now i am using a mb.

the two rebuilds were due to a dumbass builder. When we pulled the pan there was a chunk of metal that had gone through the filter. Also, when I looked through some of the sender holes on the case I could see chunks laying in the gears.

 

So what I posted is what your trannies where doing befor they went out?

 

stock lost the 1-2 shift. It would bang the limiter under wot.

rebuild 1 whined wehn I put the truck into gear.

rebuild 2 lost 1-2 shift firmness, then started popping while in drive, making noise ect ect...

now I have a mb.

btw.. this was all in a 5 month period. I could almost have had a built bottom end, h/c package installed for the $$$ I threw at the truck during that time.

Do it right hte first time.
