Fuel pump won't prime sometimes

This problem keeps coming back to haunt me. The truck will start up great for say 10, 20, or more times; then without any obvious reason it won't start. You can turn the key on and off several times and never get the fuel pumps to prime. After cycling the key for a while all of a sudden you here the fuel pumps turn on and prime and the truck will start. The trucks runs great and has no other issues. Just about 1 out of every 20 times you go to start it the fuel pump won't go into it's prime mode without cyling the key about 20 times.

Anybody else had this issue, or have an idea for me?

I've heard of MANY Pump Replays going bad lately, could that be it ???

If your running stock pumps, I have mine here, (less than 13K on them)
I'd sell them for a very fair price.

Sounds like a connection/pump relay/inertia switch problem, not a failure of the pumps to prime. Like maybe the pumps aren't always being powered up.

Yes; I beleive that is what I am chasing. Just not sure what part or parts. I am going to start with some new relays. I've checked the connections at the pump. I'm thinking it's the connections at the relay.
