Ported Blower and Opentrack

I'm looking to go to the next step with my mods. I have a 4# pulley, spacer, NGK TR6, E fan, cobra pump, heat exchanger, FT valve body, Bassani cat back. Jdm flip chip, air filter. Dynoed out at 422hp @520 tq my best 1/4 is a 12.39 with slicks and a 12.43 with F-1's. I got turned on to the auto crossing and open track running and have the suspension setup for that now (TONS MORE TRACK TIME) and lots more fun IMO. But still do the 1/4 now and then. LOTS of WAITING!!
What I was wondering is if anyone is running a ported Eaton on there truck for open tracks. A buddy of mine has a MP with all the mods and Im thinking I can get very close to him with a Ported Eaton. My concern is with the heat the Ported Eaton makes. With the 30 min sessions my worries is with warping or rotor contact. I have been reading a ton of info for the last 2weeks about porting and I'm not to sure it's going to help much seems that most guys are ending up with a ported blower where I'm at now. the avg. HP seems to be around 25 RWHP. Not to sure about the TQ thats been all over the place with the avg. most times lossing but I'm hoping I can gain there too. I know I dont need anymore power for the open tracks but for the straight line playing I think I could knock off another tenth or 2. Plus he'll never know. I will be getting the new SCT tuner and I will beable to take out some timing and add fuel to be on the safe side. Plus I add some race gas as a extra measure, plus I'm on my street tune.

Thanks in advance.

Was that at full weight? What was the weather like? Those times, especially on the F1's are incredible!

what kind of lower pulley do you have?

i also like both kinds of racing (striaght line & twistys)

i have a quick change lower pulley system. i plan to run around and drag race on an 8# lower, but switch to a 4# lower (or maybe smaller) for open track events.

The 12.39 was with the tail gate off and the tire out thats it. the other is off the street with everthing. Weather was around 65 degrees.
Last year at FFW I ran 3 passes at 12.52 thats where it run all the time. best pass on F-1's was a 1.78 with the slicks 1.70s

I have a 4 # pulley

You have the fastest truck I have heard of for the conditions/weight/mods.

You might want to start another thread...

Ask the question again but skip the details you've given here. You've just distracted everyone!

if you're truck is dyno tuned for the strip, the block won't last long on the open track.

Put the stock lower pulley back on for open track so it runs rich.

Speedin Bob The truck has never been " dynoed tuned" per say
I had JDM give me a conservated street tune and a race tune. Its a flip chip so I dont know what or where the timing is. When I got the chip I put it on the Dyno and it was at 422.9 hp 524tq with a 12.2 to 12.3 AF with the mods that I have. I then sent the chip back to JDM to have them richen it up alittle and it now pulls 418hp to 510tq with a AF at 12.0 to 11.8 this is on race side. On the street side its just alittle less.
Im going to be getting the new SCT tuner and should be able to take out timing and then richen up the fuel for open track.

My Question is still if I were to go to a ported blower would I be gaining anything or would I be hurting my performance with the mods I have.

Has anyone run a open track with a ported blower.

I consistently cut the same 60's on F1's.
