MP, 6lb lower, dynatech, magnaflow...

When my new setup is installed and tuned I will have a MP, 6lb lower, dynatech headers and mids, magnaflow catback, and possibly a c&l elbow, accufab tb, and c&l plenum.

Will I need fuel pumps, injectors ect? If I am close ot teh stock fuel system limit, then I will upgrade before I fall lean on a pass.

I ran out of injectors with an 8.75 lower and 2.68 upper.
I think that is a four pounder and the "stock" MP upper.
I'm still running the stock pumps.

You will be pegging the MAF. Your injectors and pumps will probably be fine. Unless you are dynoing in New Jersey, expect 440HP at the most.

You can use what I have, a "Maf Extender"
Very inexpensive (under a hundred)
Very simple to hook up
and it will give you all the adjustability you can ever possibly need
At 476/600 I am only at 4.6, and we are only on the lowest setting,
I believe there are 3 higher settings, I know there's "at least two"

See the two white wires coming off my Maf wiring down there,
the little black maf extender is dangling off that,

(Note to self: strap that dam thing down NOW).....

The Mafia wasn't out YET when I did mine
Either way this Maf extender work's great, and it's t i t to hook up,
4 wires: Power, Ground, and you cut a Maf Wire and hook each end to the other 2 wires (a few minutes to hook up)
BUT
the truck CAN NOT be ran until the Tuner puts in some pre-determained
tweaks into your tune based on the maf ext setting you are using
(as said there are a few)
No biggy though, they give you a jumper plug to use until then,
and the pre-determained tweak settings come with the instructions.

got mine from Woodbine http://www.woodbinemotorsports.com/

BTW
After all that I found out V had a oversized Maf in his basement
DOING NOTHING and I could have bought it &(@$%(@&$%@(&$$

E-Mail Vinnie and ask how much he wants, he even has a Power Tube
and some other goodies....

Well nothing is going on at 75-80 this weekend. Im talking about Mason Dixon in Hagerstown. There having what they call a street race. What it all means is that there are about 6 different classes with alot of different cars, trucks, and what have you. If your the winner of the class you get a 7 or 5 foot trophy plus a free pass to next event. Second place gets a trophy and go two rounds you get a trophy. Plus there is an et plaque given out to the fastest vehicle in the class. The classes are:

Pure street:Bought off the showroom floor only thing allowed is aftermarket rims/tires,tagged and insured.

Limited Street:Mufflers,Headers,DOT Tires,no Nitrous,Tagged and Insured. Helmet if quicker then 13.99

Modified Street:Mufflers,Slicks allowed,Nitrous allowed,Helmet,NHRA safety equipment based on your et.

Pro Street:Mufflers,Slicks,Helmet,any motor combo,NHRA safety rules,12.99 and quicker,no electronics.

Trust me if you do come there are a lot of cars and a lot of kids that like to talk smack if your into that sort of thing. Its really like a good old fashion drag race but with bracket rules.

Must be something in the air, but MP's always do better in New Jersey.

I have one of those special Jersey MP tunes and am very happy with it. I suspect most trucks will be pegging the maf at those boost levels and for safety I suggest pumps and injectors also.
I had decided to go with a ported Eaton and all supporting fuel system mods at once for extra safety margin and to support future upgrades. When JDM called to tell me my ported sc was warped and had rotor contact I chose to have the MP case installed. Performance is vastly supperior to the stock blower, and the streetability of the truck is perfect.
I wish I could compare the MP to a ported sc but feel there is additional gains possible with the MP.
Do the supporting mods with this combo. It should be done with any high boost Lightning no matter which SC is being used.
Jim
