Port vs port

I purchased a used ported blower for one of the guys that works on my race cars for his 02L. But before i give it to him i wanted to make sure the version of port this blower has isnt better than the one i have on my truck right now. I mean he cant complain its free whichever he gets. On my truck is a WASP port and the one i bought for him is a steimeier port from what im told.

heres pics of my wasp

pics are of someone elses wasp

Junk, useless junk. You might want to send them to me for testing.

Maybe it's just me but that second one doesn't really look ported. Looks like someone spent 2 minutes with a dremel. I really hope that isn't a steigmeir port because if that's the case I am porting mine myself.

Yeah, you're going to want to give him the second one. It was not done by Steigmeier, that's for damn sure. There isn't even a hole where all the other ported blowers add one on the underside near that big triangular opening. It was done by someone with a Dremel for sure. And poorly at that.

Give him the second one, cause it isn't a Steig port job.

oh and what if i added the trianle on the bottom? like my wasp think it would help the blower anymore?

It shouold have 2 port holes.

The 2nd port hole allows for more air to go over more of the intercooler and the efficiency of the intercooler goes up substantially.
Without the 2nd hole, it probably has the same performance as a stock Eaton.

FAKE STEIG. Port

Agreed,
Give the second one to him, and keep yours LR2.
(I wouldn't bother trying it)

Looks like very minimum work was done to the opening, and the only place they really opened it up at all is the top center of the pic, where the horz opening is at it's widest, (they took away there,)

Here is Stock "VS" "ORIG" BIG *** MF WASP
(one of the first Wes did, many many moons ago (yrs ago), it was my old one.

Sorry old Crappy Camera

Agreed, second hole IS NEEDED
