Fuel Pump Install made easy - A few pics inside

One more step I had to do in the TT 32V project. I had some fuel pumps I needed to install. At first I was going to drop the tank since it was already in the air. Frank5L, rmfreeze, and myself were discussing options, and Frank came up with a great idea. Instead of pulling the bed completly off, we just pulled the rear bumper off ( only four 21mm nuts) took all the bolts and connections loose like we were going to pull the bed, then just lifted it and slid it back a little more than a foot. That allowed plenty of room to pull the pumps and took maybe 20 minutes at the most to have the top of the fuel tank exposed.

Good Idea.
I also installed my 255 pumps this weekend, but I dropped the tank.
