4 valve update w/ pics

Short block is getting there.

Pistons ,rods and crank are in. Jim is now working on the oil pick-up (remember the GT-40 motor is a dry sump set-up).

Here is a pick from the front.

windage tray and notice the side main bolts

here is the pick-up tube Jim is now working on. Notice the 3/8 inch spacer he had to have machined to clear the tray

Domed Pistons

Custom Oil pan. This is the Second one Jim had made as the first was made before the 3/8 spacer was in and it was not deep enough (these are the things that cost R&D money that people don't see)

Inside

Couple other things I could not take pics of yet (you'll just have to wait and see)
Thats it for now. Its getting there and its only a matter of time before its in.

Looks great Vinny,

Why not use the dry sump system?

Peace,

Well, at least now I know why my truck is taking so long...its for a good cause. And for those of you that don't know, the pics in MM&FF, and here on the net do not do Vinnies truck any justice. I saw it on the lift at JDM on Thurs...it is amazing in person. I can't say anything else that will do it justice. Just make it to an event to see it.

Now you need a set of these:

I bought these adjustable cam gears for my Cobra. We found that the stock timing by "lining up the dots" was way off! I would definately degree cams on a 4V. You should see about a 60hp difference.

Thanks for that.
I do feel though that the L has been neglected in the show portion. Basically its been about the speed. But that is about to change soon. Once my garage is done and the lift is in the underneath will outshine the top.

I dunno, some of those underbody pieces are already pretty bling. I can't even imagine what it will be like one the lift goes in. Like maybe the traction bars for instance. I can't say I ever saw a set quite like those before.
