TCE has a new brake option for the L

I was looking for a big brake kit for my C6 and came across this new kit for the L. I thought some of you here could be interested.

Very nice I could not believe they could get a 15" rotor on there with the factory wheels.
Nice work Todd.

That kit from Wilwood actually comes with 16" rotors, but TCE is using 15" I assume for clearence.

I still don't think you can use a stock 18" wheel with a 15" rotor. I have 15" rotors and 22" wheels and it's kinda close.

Todd must have found a way to clear with the 6 piston calipers.
The 13" kit I have the 4 piston calipers are very close to the wheels.

Follow down to the new section.

Upon further review Todd responded to this same thread on NLOC.
They sound like they work with harley wheels (20") My mistake.

The target was the Harley truck guys. Sorry for the confusion.

Yes there are 16s as well but I feel that this is simply too much and shifts nearly all the brake bias to the front of the truck. I suppose if there were serious interest in the 16s I could do it, however I'd rather apply what I feel is proper to the truck and work from there.

On the other hand....I'm still looking for the first 'taker' on this package too. I don't think the market is really quite as large for such proudcts as everyone would like to believe. Call it a work in progress at this time but not on the front burner just yet.

Tce Bbk

I haven't been on here in a long time but just wanted to let you guys in on what Todd at TCE and I have put together for a front brake kit. This is the only one in use at this time. If you have any ?'s just give Todd a call and I'm sure he'll be glad to help. Thanks TCE for all the help and the opportunity to undertake this project.

A few hours later:

I wieghed everything on the bathroom scales and the stock rotor, caliper and pads wieghed in at 45 pounds. The new kit with a 15.250" x 1.250" thick rotor, six pot calipers with pads, aluminum brackets and mounting hubs wieghed in at 45 pounds.

No, they will only work with a 20" wheel. He originally made them for the HD's but I couldn't resist. Todd has all the specs on them if you have any questions just give him a call. If I couldn't have gotten this kit to work then I would have happily gotten one of TCE's 13" kits with 6 piston calipers as they are proven as well.
