I Have A Problem And Need Help.

I am having problems starting my truck. When I turn the ignition I get power to everything then when I get ready to turn the truck over I get a very loud TINK and everything goes dead no power to anything. Now is there a relay in the starter that I am tripping? Is it possible my starter is on its way out? Do I have a short possibly. The truck ran fine yesterday. It is not the chip, I have already done that. I can reset everything when I disconnect the battery then the same thing happens again when I turn the key. Before I tear into the truck I want to know if anybody had similar problems before and know what to look for. Any help would be much appreciated.

If this were a Chevy then I'd say 100% it's the starter solinoid that's built into the starter.
Get you're battery checked for good measure then think about replacing the solinoid and or the starter.
