SKNHD's 01 L goes 10.14@133!!
Kevin's truck has been up here for its nitrous tune and I wanted to get some track time on it. Since I pulled the motor out of my truck to put the Aluminum motor in it he agreed to let me take it to FFW Cordova. Because of all the rain delays out there we werent able to get many passes. At 3900 ft altitude and 90 degrees we weren't go to get a personal best. Although I did qualify @ a 10.82 (on a 50 shot and 14 psi / 3.5 upper and 8lb lower) which meant I had to run 10.72 in eliminations. We were testing it this way for consistency which worked perfect. I datalogged all 8 passes and the intercooler temp at the starting line was 105* and at the end of the run it went up to 133*! The truck ran during qualifing 2 10.82's and a 10.84. Early Saturday morning test and tune I ran a 10.72 which shows I would have been right on my number.
Got back from Cordova Sunday night and we had a track rental for the next day, Monday (today). Ended up changing the NX Jet size from a 33 to a 59. Which is roughly a 125 shot. 1st pass truck went a 10.41 with a 1.69 60 foot spinning bad. 2nd pass was a 10.14@133.80 with a 1.48 60 foot time. The truck was still on the same pulley combo of 3.5 upper and 8lb lower!! I called Kevin who was at work while I was at the track to let him know the good news. It was 92 degrees here and by 2 o'clock in the afternoon the track got so greasy I never attempted a 3rd pass. The motor made 757 HP and 992 TQ with a 100 shot jet(which they say is a 52) on the Dyno. Yet the truck picked up 160 RWHP. NX tells me that the 52 is rated a 100 off a N/A motor and the supercharged motor added that much extra. So anyway just a bit of info here.
Kevins truck is a true daily driver and weighs in the ball park of 4750. Full interior and everything.
