Some sad news.....
Well everyone I probably will not be posting for a little while.
I feel like a lot of you are a second family to me so that is why I am posting this.........
My Father developed cancer between 2-3 years ago. It has been a battle since. Constant radiation, cancer going away, cancer returning worse then ever. Recently it had developed into Stage 4 lung cancer(was also infected in several other areas). He was forced to breath oxygen. He fought it strong for a long time. I had spoken with him on Friday and he told me he was feeling a lot better, which I had thought was a good sign as he has been feeling very bad over the last month. We Friday night right as I was going into the shower we got a call that he was "coding." My mother and myself drove to the Hospital as fast as traffic would let me. When we got there he had already passed and we never got to say "goodbye."
My Father was never really a Ford man, always loving Buicks, but he showed A LOT of support and pride in my brother's and my own accomplishments with our Lightnings. Also bought me a nice set of JLP traction bars.
I think he was more excited of my getting the "stock block" title way back when, then I was. We had our ups and downs like any father/son team but he was a great Dad and has guided me thru the last 21 years well.
I love you Daddy and I am gonna miss you so much.
Rest in Peace.
Thanks, -Mat-
