I'm stumped....please help.

My truck has been making some noise that sounds like it's coming from the front of the motor. I pulled the whole front end apart this weekend and replaced the timing chain tensioners. I put it all back together and started it up and all was well. Shut it off and started it a few times and all was well, let it run for about 10 minutes and good. Went and took a shower, came back and the noise was back.

It's a tap, but loud that seems to come from the front of the motor. Hell, maybe it's a head, I really wouldn't even care if I could find this noise. Anyone ever have similar problems?

My friend's dad works at a local dealership, I'm gonna let him stick his head under there and see if he can find it, but at the moment I'm puzzled. I ran a stethoscope (sp?) around all the valve covers and it doesn't sound like a head issue, but maybe it is....

Any help or suggestions are appreciated.

The noise is coming from the front of the motor. I've taken a stethoscope over all the cylinders and it doesn't make noise, but if you put it on the front timing chain cover the noise is obvious, I doubt it's piston slap. My AF is dead on though according to my WBC, however, you could be right, who knows.

Loose Screw?

Seeing it's you I figured it might be something rattling around in your otherwise vacuous cranium.

Waveblaster, you can e-mail me through this board if you'd like. I would like to talk to you on the phone about this.

Maybe I can help?

Peace,

Was that an SAT word? I'm flabbergasted by your intelligence. The fact that I speak my opinion and don't agree with the lemmings must mean that I am otherwise devoid of intelligence.

I can appreciate your threadjack though, at least if I threadjacked I would have been funny.

I guess it's all a matter of perspective. Hope you solve your problem, though it could be genetic.....

You're intitled to your opinions, let's validate them on the 1320 some day soon.

I'm waiting!

You talk a good game WaveBlaster let's see how you do against a 80k mile daily driver. Just a friendly 2 out of 3. Name the place and I'll be there.
Just think in a little more than thirty seconds you can shut me up. Maybe!

Why are you still talking? I didn't say **** to you, so if you feel the need to hop in here and give me **** because I talked **** to JL what does that make you besides his bitch?

I don't care if you're faster, I don't care if your **** is bigger. I was trying to solve a problem, Suavy was nice enough to help me out. Don't really care what happens to this thread as I think it's worn out it's usefulness.

Hey son

I'm just trying to help you solve your problem. You are always quick with your mouth but slow to back it up. If you were a little less negative you might find we all would be glad to help you out.
I don't bad mouth any tuner, nor do I speak of anything but my experience, it has not all been positive but that's racing.
This year so far I've blown a motor and seized a ported blower, when your lookin for an edge you break things.
I do take offence at your crass behavior. I'll bet your parent's raised you better.

Go show me a post to JL where I ever degraded his business or him personally. As I remember, he is the one that got pissed off and told me he was gonna kick my ***, not that I'm offended.

Not a big deal if no one replies, I'll figure it out.

I'm going to bed, have at it.

Personaly, I try to stay out of all the bickering. I don't care about it

Peace,

Suavy
