Problem with electric fans
Problem with electric fans
This past Tuesday I installed the flex-a-lite 270 on my truck and I can't get them to work. Yesterday I even went as far as buying a multimeter and taking all the wires off and rewiring it just to make sure it was right. I have trouble shot the best I could, but I still haven't found the problem. Any suggestions?

well being a brushed DC motor it might be a little tricky. depending on the windings the values could be different, the key should be that its shouldnt be really high like 300k or anything infact it shouldnt be above 100k probably. also the motor probably has a commutator, so you might try rotating it slowly as you ohm it to get all the individual winding values.
im sure you probably have hit the obvious spots already, like an inline fuse?

Thanks cpeapea, I'll check that out and the fuse was the last thing I put in after all the wiring was done. Thanks again.
