as some of you know I had a leak in my tranny, so I took the truck to the dealer to have it fix, well today I was looking at the bill and it say they put 10 Quarts of ATF part # XT-5-QM, I look on my owners manual and it says that part # is for the 4r70w that use MERCON V, and the 4r100 part # should be xt-2-qdx, I have put 20 miles on the truck since they fix it, I call them as soon as I found out but today are closed till Monday, should I be worried? and should I raise hell at the dealer for being such dumb a**es? plese let me know or I won't be able to sleep all night. thanks.

 

I know some people that will argue the point but MerconV is not for our transmissions, Dont drive it and Monday morning tow it to the dealer, have them flush the trans. and fill it with Mercon III. 20 miles shouldnt have done any damage as long as its not 20 hard miles. Oh yea - make sure you stick them with the towing bill also!
