High numbers for my mods??

I've been told many times that my numbers are high for the mods I have. I believe they are too. I had the truck dyno'ed last October at JBA Performance Center, with only a 2lb upper, 95mm motoblue intake, C&L elbow, and Borla catback. The numbers they gave me were 406.9 HP and 489ft/lbs torque. Max total boost was 11.5 lbs. These pictures are of the actual charts they gave me. The column are SPEED, RPM, HP, TORQUE, TEMP, A/F ratio, BOOST.
Why are my numbers so high??
Can any experts tell me how accurate this is??
BTW, I ran 1/8 mile only once with a best of 8.8 at 82MPH with a 2.1 60 ft.

This picture shows the max torque at 3076 RPM

This picture shows the max HP at 4872 RPM

Dyno numbers do not always tell the whole story. We had a customer with an '01 Lightning that only dynoed about 370hp on our dyne (Mustang) with a 4lb lower and very few other mods, but ran in the mid 12s with it at the track. (He did have an unusually high torque numbers for the HP it showed)

For the horsepower and torque numbers you have you should be running somewhere in the high/mid twelves. Your 1/8 mile calculates to (approx) 13.2 in the quarter mile which would be a little slow for those numbers. That 60ft time is pretty slow though, and could have thrown the whole thing off if you were spinning the tires although your mph seems about right.

And yes those are very high numbers for a two pound pulley.

dyno dynamics? it seems that if that is a different brand of dyno that might be the answer to your question. just like dynojet show higher numbers than mustang dynos.

what I have....

I have pretty close to the same mods only I'm running more boost. My 60' is 1.9 and my quick ET on the 1/8 is 8.14 @91.3 MPH. Usually it turns 8.20-8.30 @90 MPH. I race on a set of Nitto's (DR). I have turned 8.21 @ 90 MPH with 60' of 1.9 on f1's. They have about 35,000 on them....Hope this helps.

I have dyno'ed with both a dyno dynamics and a dyno jet dyno and had the exact same numbers on both dyno's.

that does sound way on the high side. but everyone seems to fluctuate from one dyno shop to another even on the same type of dynos. IMO they are best suited for comparing performance from mod to mod ON THE SAME DYNO UNDER SIMILAR ENVIRONMENT and measuring A/F, NOT giving true indication of HP/torque. even track times will vary greatly from track to track for the same car. for instance, 1flightmedic posted above running 91+ MPH at 8.14.... i run similar times on F1s but struggle to hit 84 mph! that is a huge difference, one i would probably attribute to that track's timing system.

I agree...

It is hard to compare with folks running on different tracks. I saw other MPH being posted and thought mine was a little high. I also forgot to mention that was on 100 octaine and the chip set on "shoot out". I have only hit the 8.14 once and an 8.16 once, the rest have been in the 8.20-8.30 range. My average 60' is 1.9 on a track known for minimal prep. This weekend we will be going to a track known more for its quality and I'll see how close to those same times I can turn. I have no Dyno info (coming this fall), so the track stuff is all I have. I do hope the new track will produce the same MPH, I would like to continue to see 90 MPH on the ticket....

Was it real cold outside?

This thread is like a cruise down memory lane.
Running the two pounder was a lot of fun.
