Ftvb

Does the Ftvb have a break in period ?I installed it about 3 weeks ago and my truck has not chirped the tires going into 2nd gear until last week.Sometimes it chirps and sometimes it dont.Any info on this ???

There are too many variables involved to give a definitive answer to this. I see your truck is a 99? Is it stock? Road conditions in your area, tire brand, transmission clutch condition, mileage etc, all can have an effect.

It can take a few miles for a FTVB to come to life, but most see a difference immediately. Do the shifts feel nice and sharp?

Yea i am in the same boat with this,i got about 500 miles on it and it won't get second on wet road and depending on throttle position 3rd feels like i got hit from behind with a mack truck.


Trying to catch up to greg about it but no luck as of yet.

If you can't spin second on a wet road you may want to check and make sure your supercharger hasn't fallen off.
