Headlight question

This is going to sound very silly (...like I haven't the slightest clue about what I'm doing), but I just installed new headlights last night (Matrix 09-1156).

I love the way they look, but I have one question: What about the extra 4 wires (red&white), how do you hook those up, or do you?
I did connect the other two (black & red), to the side marker.

Does anyone have these headlights???
Instructions on how to install them were not included.
So go ahead and laugh,....and then...Please advise.

Looks like the extra wires are for the LED's.

Use a multimeter to find out which wires are the positive & negative for your side marker light and tap into them for the power.

Hope this helps!

No laughter here - ive been through a couple of installs with no instructions... I was looking into getting a set of these for my L. Would you post pics after its done so we can see the final result? And, if you're feeling up to it, a step-by-step to help out other members would be appreciated too.....never know, someone else might learn from you!

I responded in the other thread too, but the extra wires are for the LEDs. You could use them with the side markers, or the heads, which I did. I like them on constantly.

They do mount flush but are made in such a way that there are parts which do protrude a little. You can really tell it from the 4th photo; look at the driver's side.
