Is my bed cover installed wrong?

There are 4 straps 2 inside and 2 outside the front of the bed. The ones on the outside are constantly flopping in the wind and annoying me. What are these for? What's the remedy other than cutting them off? This is an 03 L with the ziplock syle cover. Thanks for your help.

Yes they are on correctly, they are used when you roll the cover back and tie it up. Mine don't come out unless I'm doing those 100mph blast down the road.

I'm assuming you're talking about the stock tonneau cover. I have an 02 and had the same problem. I hated those things flopping around all the time. I just tucked them under the cover and into the bed. Problem solved.

Which ones are bothering you? If it is the ones by the cab, how can you see them with out cranking you head? As for the rears, just close them in the gate.

I dont have any on the rear and the front ones fly in the back glass (I like the window open) I'll see if I can tuck them like trublu gen2 suggested
