You could start by changing you fuel filter first needs to be done every other oil change if you daily drive any ways.

If it's still there by all means check your plugs and change them while your in there.
If that dosen't work post back we all can help out more from there.

Peace,

Suavy

Ok I have had same problems

First Change your fuel filter.

Then check fuel pressure.
I had a bad pump and seen guys with line come off.

Then check plugs. I had no trouble changing mine did it twice now.

Also check MAF if running oil based filter like K&N Also check your TP voltage.

I had a bad pump witched caused a lower fuel pressure witched killed my plugs in turn killed an O2 lol. You can not feed the need for speed on 12psi fuel pressure lol

Possibly could be a bad coil pack, take it in to Ford and have them check out the coil packs...

my L is stock what sparkplugs are recommended? also i have an AEM cold intake i was going to put on with a chip tune, will that make a difference in what plugs to run? also i dont have the check engine light coming on so it woulnt be a sensor causing the lagging right?

I had the exact same problem with my 2000 L. Since it was still under warranty (only 7800 miles) I took it to ford who swapped out all the coil packs, fuel filter, fuel pump, o2 sensors, maf sensor, and spark plugs. This took 4 visits over a 30 day period. None of these replacement parts corrected the miss so I traded the truck. Good luck with yours. Hope it isn't as hard to cure as mine was.
