I installed my fan yesterday and due to the short distances I drive on surface streets my truck hasn't gotten hot enough for the fans to turn on. My question is, Is the L1(Fan signal) light on the control box supposed to be on all the time or just when the fan is actually running? Thanks.

Yes it should be on all the time as soon as you turn on your ignition and stay on up to 30 seconds after the ignition is turned off. Then the second light L2 should come on when the fans kick on. If the light does not come on there is something wrong. Check all your connections. I have had a lot of problems with my fans VSC going bad, on my fourth one. Flex-a-lite has had a lot of past problems with their fan. If I didn't like the fan so much I would have ***** canned it after the second one. I finally came to the conclusion and I moved my VSC behind the passenger headlight cause I believe the AZ heat was causing the problem and that is when my VSCs would go out during the summer. Were it was originally located next the radiator right under the radiator hose were there is no air flow just didn't make sense to me. Haven't had a problem since I moved it.
