Cleaning up the underside of the L :)

The Underside of my L wasn't too pretty looking, so I took a wire brush, paint stripper, sandpaper, and paint to it.... Tell me what you think.

Flash can illuminate unwanted objects in some photos.

But here's one just for you, just with more light, not flash

Actual work was only a few hours, but of course I had to let it dry in between coats, let the rust-remover sink in etc.

Thanks for the comments

looks MUCH better.

One thing you may want to try is POR-15. I used it on a few old cars and my '69 stang.
It is a 3 part process for rust removal:

1. Spray the Rust inhibitor (I think it's phosphorus) on and let it sitm then rinse with water,
2. Spray all the bare meral with Metal Prep
3. Paint on the POR-15 (either thin it and spray it or use a brush (self leveling)

Once it dries, it is like an epoxy, and can't be scraped off with a screwdriver.
